As your wedding day moves closer and closer, you may begin to think about what the future will hold.
While you hope to remain married for the rest of your life, it's only natural to have some concerns. This is why a growing number of people are asking for a prenuptial agreement.
Most people are familiar with the benefits of a prenuptial agreement, as well as the primary reasons to consider creating this type of legal document.
However, it's not uncommon to have some questions. Here are several questions that you may not have thought about to this point:
-- Does asking for a prenuptial agreement mean that you don't trust your fiancé?
-- Is a prenuptial agreement only for wealthy individuals?
-- Is there ever a good time to opt for a do it yourself prenuptial agreement, as opposed to hiring a legal professional?
-- What types of things should be included in a prenuptial agreement?
-- What types of things are you unable to include in a prenuptial agreement?
-- Are there times when a prenuptial agreement is nothing more than a waste of time and money?
-- Are you able to change a prenuptial agreement at a later date?
These are just a few of the many questions that you need to address as your big day closes in and you continue to think long and hard about creating a prenuptial agreement.
As long as you and your spouse are on the same page, you should be able to come to an agreement as to whether or not this is something you need.
