Remembering Frank Morriss Fly
Frank Morriss Fly died April 28, 2020, after a long illness. Frank practiced law in Murfreesboro for 47 years and was the founding partner of Evans Bulloch Parker PLLC.
Frank was born December 30, 1945, in Columbia, Tennessee. He was a graduate of Columbia Central High School, Middle Tennessee State University and the University of Tennessee College of Law.
Frank grew up on his family farm on the Duck River in Maury County, Tennessee.
Frank was an accomplished tennis player. He also spent many hours hiking, biking and kayaking. He traveled extensively in Mexico, Central America and South America.
Frank loved his historic home, Farmington, and enjoyed giving tours of the house to visitors.
Frank devoted many hours of his law career to environmental causes, including the successful fight to save the Duck River, the most biologically diverse river in North America, from being dammed. He was named Conservationist of the Year in the United States in 1986.
He was a fierce advocate for his clients and a mentor to many young lawyers. He is greatly missed.
